Comment: Tron Legacy was really good, I've also seen Minority Report, not bad. Whenever I see 'Blade' I think of the vampire played by Wesley Snipes, so I was surprised it wasn't linked. But great for me as scaredy cat, now I can check these out. ^_^ 2001 A Space Oddyssey has been on my to watchlist for a while now. I saw a few references in The Simspons.^_^Thanks for sharing.

Comment: Hello! I really apologize for getting to this so, so late! I hope you and your family are safe and healthy during this time. On to your list~ Sara Bareilles is not an artist I would listen to regularly, but holy cow I feel like her voice is so expressive, she really does belong in musicals! Had you seen the production this song comes from? "Willow" is such a relaxing song, especially right now (just got off the phone with the unemployment office, argh!). Sxip Shirey's song also sounds very Broadway-esque. I imagine a sequence of a woman getting back to her hotel after a day of solo-travel. Relatable! "Ride to Death" is so lovely but almost a tearjerker somehow. Lana's "the greatest"- So I absolutely love Lana del Rey and have since the Born to Die era, but this album is not enjoyable for me to listen. It all sounds too sad and melancholic for me now, and a lot of the songs sound too similar, in my opinion. Maybe I just need to give the whole album another run through again. Pomplamoose strikes again with the Sweet Dreams/Seven Nation Army mashup! Yes! Love it! I want to be them so bad, LOL. Alex the Astronaut is an artist I had not heard of, but wow I really should have. I love "Already Home"! I hit the like button so fast on Spotify. Looks like she released an album today! I'm liking Didirri's "Blind You." If you like them, I really recommend listening to Iron + Wine and Fleet Foxes. "Vanhorn" has gotten a sh*tton of airplay on our local alt radio. I love Saint Motel's music so I'm happy to see them get a lot of traction this past year. They're a lot like Fitz & the Tantrums if you haven't heard of them! "Sugar & Booze" is a Christmas song but frankly it can totally be a quarantine anthem too! Saving for the holidays... The next song, "I Haven't Gotten Anything Better to Do" is also a perfect quarantine song, haha! Anything from Celia Cruz gets an automatic like from me. As a kid, when it was a big cleaning day my mom would put tropicales music on so I've got this going while I'm cleaning countertops, ha! "See Line Woman" was a great choice to follow Celia. Fun song!
"Please Won't Please"- OK, I'm gonna have to listen to more of Helado Negro's catalogue. This song is so suspiciously mellow, I have to know what their other work is like! Can't believe how fast "Suburban Trampoline Casualties" was! It was telling a story but as soon as it started it ended! No, I want more! I know "Lovely Day" from soft rock radio for the past two decades, lol. "Things Can Only Get Better" and "The Nearness of You" are both really nice soft songs as well. Chicken Soup for the Soul, if you will. The last two continue the thread of soulfulness and optimism (or so they seem on their face). Overall, I really enjoyed your list and I think I have more in common with your taste than my other partners for this swap. Thank you so much for sharing, and also thank you for condensing everything into a Spotify playlist! :)

Thanks for the note about your current ATC strategy- I've only recently started making them, and I similarly feel like the most common aesthetic used isnt one I'm interested in recreating. I love the ATC you sent- the subtle variation in background color and the shapes that kind of remind me of an abstract mountain reflected in a lake. Comment: First of all, I am really glad you didn't go with the fashion magazines - I am not a Vogue type of person!! Secondly, I like to use black in my cards but often don't because most partners don't like the darker images. And thirdly, I love the rats! The only thing that would have made this atc better is if there had been a bloody, severed finger with the rats!! So, yes, thank you so much for a couple of great atcs!! (Also a little intrigued by the millipede's carapace!)

Comment: Thank you. Your ATC was nice. However, this swap was originally marked sent on Saturday November 30th, two days after the send by date with no prior communication. Saying 'oops I hit sent for the wrong swap' doesn't change that. I realize the 28th was on Thanksgiving, but it could have been sent out the following day. I would have been more understanding had you contacted me before hand and not waited 5 days after the send by date to contact me.
Response: My apologies, I screwed up on this one, no question. Thanksgiving week this year was a stressful one, and lots of things slipped fell off my to do list, including being a good communicator with my swap partner.

Comment: I got my ATC's today Tim, and they are marvelous. Well worth waiting for! Even the backs were fun! I love the way you used the ribbon and the mesh on "Onwards". And the background on "Be Prepared" was very intriguing. Did you use tissue? It fit the theme so well!. Thank you for all your hard work. They are among my favorites!

(You should check out Ben Howard's cover of 'Call Me Maybe'. It seems like it would fit your tastes more so than the original.)
