Comment: That's so cool that you make bookmarkers for your library to sell as a fundraiser!!. Sparked an idea for me to use my scraps and donate them to the library!! I love the Color Walk map for the kids. I hope you get to do it next year, but we know the ALA will have another theme for 2026! You'd be spoiled for choice for book clubs in my area so I hope you start one anyways. You just never know how many people would be thrilled to know there's a book club in your area. For one of my book clubs, I make book swag bags (thanks Swapbot). I make between 10-15 bags (usually brown lunch bag that I decorate to make the novel) and then I put in little things to pertain to the story. My upcoming book swag bag centers around Australia, so I've included a map of Australia, an free Aussie crossword puzzle (from online, little cocktail napkins and flags of the Aussie flag (Amazon) and some Tim Tams (chocolate cookies) from Walmart. It's always a hit because I give them out before we read the book!! Thanks for hosting such a fun swap! I'll let you know if the snail mail arrives - fingers X it will! xxMuggleMom

I am currently listening to Vanishing Act by Jodi Picoult. Our library recently left the Georgia Library System. I haven't been to it since the change. I am in Columbia County.
Response: I'm in Newton County so very glad the library is still part of the GA system. I also have a card for the library in Maine where the family summer home is. They use CloudLibrary.

Comment: Thanks so much for the cookbook recommendation and the recipe. I've not heard of Broma Bakery before but I'm going to check out the website. And the cranberry bars look great! We do get fresh cranberries here around Christmas time (imported from the States I think) and I think the big supermarkets sell frozen ones all year round. I made my own dried and candied cranberries this year. Thanks for setting up the swap -- it was fun!

Mouse the lilac point Siamese will be your sleeping companion, and the winged pandacorn squishmallow is prepared to take up any slack. There are two extra blankets at the ready, but Mouse sleeps pretty warm. I even have a brand new hair dryer still in the box you can use. Your airport choice is a pain, but at least your aunt will be picking you up. Scary Farm traffic is usually at a standstill, so we'll walk the mile from my house. Bring comfy shoes! Your restaurant choices don't have many exciting vegetarian options, but I've got you covered there. I'm currently a usual vegetarian, who leans towards vegetarianism naturally but isn't so strict as when I was vegetarian, vegan and fruitarian. I kept getting anemic with dangerously low sodium levels. Point is, I can cook, and cook vegetarian dishes! I'll probably make rice paper wrapped salad rolls with peanut sauce to take to Scary Farm with us, but I guarantee you'll want one of their boysenberry funnel cakes when you smell them. Safe travels. See you next month!

Comment: Aloha!! I love hearing how ppl discovered swapbot. I discovered it late 2019 after watching YouTube videos of ppl hosting crafty swaps. I would just watch the vid without sound because I didn't understand all the things they discussed but one day I had the sound on and heard her say "I got this from a group on swapbot" and I think she mentioned that it was a website in the US so I was finally at a point that I wanted to trade all the crafty things I was making with other people & see what they made in return. But I stopped after March 2020 because mail was going missing and I didn't want to chance a bad rating...it was fun for those 4 months. Then I jumped back on 1 Jan 2021 and here I am today, lol!! xxMuggleMom

Comment: I LOVE the address labels! They are so very cute! I, too, am finding new family members through Ancestry! One was a surprise! My cousin fathered a surprise child. He actually never knew it, and the mother never told her husband. He was Greek/Italian, and the baby was blonde/blue-eyed like my cousin. :-) Now that was a surprise! Also found a cousin from Michigan who is living with his family in Shanghai working for a company there. Very fun communicating with him. :-)

Comment: Oh wow. I’m having the opposite problem than you..I can’t even begin to find a house before selling mine..I also live rural and the market here is SLOW on a good day. When you buy you could ask for a contingency to rent the house you buy before it actually sells. We did that here because nobody would rent to people with dogs. Anyway good luck! LOL! I was so sorry to read about the passing of your ex-husband - that is so young! How are things going now that you have had a bit more time after the Lasik? It sounds interesting but scary, so...How exciting about your work expansion - are you having to work crazy hours because of this? Your town sounds really interesting with all the movies being made there! I love audiobooks! I have less eye drops to put in now so I'm hoping to be able to wear some makeup next week (the employees might appreciate it). I'm still sad about Brad - I think what makes me more sad is seeing how life goes on yet his social media is frozen in time.

Not just because everything you sent has brought me intense amounts of joy in the last 48 hours (I received yesterday, I've just been so bogged down with school and work that I couldn't even open my computer T^T) - but because you went WAY above what was expected to let me know that you cared. Sometimes, the kindness of some people shocks me and leaves me absolutely stumped. I wish I could reciprocate in some way. Comment: Great journal :-) You ate lots of fruit! That is the one thing I keep "forgetting" to eat. Although... right now we have locally grown strawberries, so I am enjoying those. And soon... BLUEBERRIES! I agree that it is so hard to eat out. I annoyed many a waitperson while doing the challenge... asking specifics about the food and where it came from and so on. Thank you again for the great journal!

Comment: Thanks so much for the CD. The CD jacket is an artwork all in itself, and I appreciate the effort you went through to explain the significance of the song. Some of the stories made me smile (e.g. the Justin Timberlake explanation made me laugh out loud).
