Response: My handwriting is not good so I type anything I can. As such I carefully read the requirement regarding typing vs writing. A hand written letter, or a letter of any type, was not a requirement for this swap. I am glad that you enjoyed the tea selection. I had to search a bit to find three teas that did not contain black tea since your profile states that you do not like black tea even though the swap was not profile based. I hope you didn't stay sad long. :)

Yes, when I was long haul trucking, I went just about everywhere but the northeast in the United States. It's been a year since I came off the road, and I miss it a little bit. I fix that by turning on the weather channel, and then I don't miss driving everywhere so much.

Comment: Great card! I forget how far Spotsylvania is from Richmond but if you have a chance to visit, do a tour of the Hollywood Cemeterey. the grounds are very beautiful and the guide was very interesting. Several famous people buried there.

Comment: First off, I'm really sorry about the late rating. I've been super sick for the last 2 weeks or so and have barely gotten out of bed, much less turned on the PC.
BEAUTIFUL Postcard! Right when life started to calm down, my Fibro went into full flareup. We have temperature changes of about 40 degrees per day (100 during the day, 60's at night). It's very rough on my Fibro so I've been in bed for about 2 weeks. I had a PILE of mail to go through and ratings to give and I felt horrible but I just couldn't find the energy to turn on the PC. Thank you again!
Response: The swap just ended on the 21st. Today is the 27th. That is 6 WHOLE days!!! Shame on you! :) :) :) :) ☺ ☺ ☺

Comment: You got overcancelled! I pretty much do too, most of the time. When I dropped my card for this swap at the post office, I asked the clerk, "Since I am PAYING for hand cancellation, is there anything that you can do to prevent it from being machine cancelled?" He looked tired and a bit irritated and said that with all the automation, there's pretty much nothing he can do. I asked, "EVEN if it's FRAGILE? And that's WHY I paid for hand cancellation?" (I didn't sound as snotty as that, but I was firm about it). He just looked a bit more tired and said, "not really."
Response: Isn't that a pain!! So sorry that it got machine cancelled over the hand stamp. I really don't know what to do about that. :-(

How weird is that! I guess Virginians like chai! And swap-bot! Just like me - I live in northern VA for quite a while, and drive through Fredericksburg often. Thanks for a thoughtful great swap and I LOVE the retired stamps!!!! They remind me of my dad's back yard, with sunflowers and squash and gourds! Happy chai-drinking!!
