Or when generosity is reciprocated by a partner....;YOUR'S completely overwhelmed me and reminded me why SwapBot is such a lovely community to be involved with. I can't thank you enough for all the fabulous treats you included with your swap. The origami paper is gorgeous, the candy such a treat, the swap cards (in purple and teal) a fun surprise, your lovely letter, your beautiful handmade cards, just everything! It's all wonderful and so carefully packaged. Even the envelope is gorgeous. (How did you do the paint?) And last but never least, the beautiful flipbook. I am so sorry you had to make another (I also had to make another for a Netherlands partner -- where does all that missing mail go?), so I understand the additional time and thoughtfulness that goes into a remake. Response: I am so glad that this one made it to you safely! The paint on the envelope was one of those "happy mistakes." I was trying out my new Distress Oxides and it looked ok, but I thought it needed some shine so I decided to seal it with matte medium. Well, it started to smear all the ink (I learned today that I need to use the TH micro glaze to seal distress stuff). So I just gooped a bunch on my finger and tapped away at the envelope until it was all covered. I really liked how it added texture to the envie...but it sure used a lot of medium! :)

If it would have been just the postmark I could understand but this was the actual postage sticker and tracking said "June 29, 2017, 10:51 am USPS in possession of item APO, AP 96368"
Response: I'm sorry about the postage sticker date. I use the military mail system and don't have a lot of control over how or when the mail is processed. I have been having problems with mail being returned to me and I resent all my swaps. I thought I had send a PM to everyone and/or addressed the problem in a letter with the resent swap. I must have missed sending you a note.
Regardless of the rating, I am very happy that you still thought it was a great swap. I enjoyed putting the washi tape together for you and personalizing the swap to your profile as much as possible.

Comment: Thank you very much for the Japanese paper! I'll use every bit of it! My grandson and I had the raspberry Kit Kat bars for dessert...never saw Raspberry Kit Kat's before!! Thanks!! You asked about my use of melted crayons...rather than calling my "wax pictures" encaustic, I would say they are multi-media as I use watercolor and ink along with the wax! It's fun to play with. I melt little pieces onto paper with an iron, which gives me some control over what happens. I either put another piece of paper over the crayon bits or wax paper, so I don't mess up the iron! Then after I play around with the wax, I figure out what to do with it!!
