I love penpalling, and in this day and age of expensive post I like to get the most for my money so I only write long letters. You'll have 2 swap-partners to whom you have to write a long letter (at least 2 sides of a4 paper - (a4 is 11x8, so you'd have to write 4 sides of a5)

I have a question on the size of paper. The size is it a regular 8 by11 typing paper, xeroxing paper. I am not familiar withKawaii? :)

Wow. I definitely wouldn't have used the word "long" for a front & back half page.

@rmrascal ~ no, it's not a full size set. A5 is roughly 8x6. The smaller pages with envelopes are letter sets, they come in all kinds, not just Kawaii. I think OP just was using it as an example.

Well no, that's why I said AT LEAST those 2 sides. I advertised in a long letter pals community on livejournal and the person who wanted to be my penpal wrote ONE side of a5. Personally I will probably end up writing 3/4 sides at least just as an intro letter and then of course they can get longer as penfriendships progress.

Still. Sorry. I don't mean to offend. "At least" is leaving people to do JUST that. Plus it's a half page. To each their own.

I understand not everyone writes novels like I do. I was just excited to see "long". When I see that, I expect at least 6 full size pages, and for me that is short but I know it's considered an average long.

I'm trying to take into account different sizes of handwriting, and how awkward those first letters can be. I'd love it if everyone wrote longer than that, personally the longest letter I've ever written was 50 sides of 11x8, but that's not an every day occurence. If you want a longer long letter pal swap why not host your own?

I have and I may again. Unfortunately, it seems like there aren't a ton of long letter writers on this site who like to write as much as I do, and of the ones that are, I've found them already. But I'm always on the lookout for a new rare one.

My everyday letters are 12-16 pages typed, small to medium font and single spaced. It's hard to find loooong letter pals, but I'm grateful for the 12 or so that I have.

Ok, everyone who's signed up, I've changed the letter length requirements to 2 sides of a4 (11x8) to make it long letters. Just to make you aware it IS international, and I'm going to host a Europe Centric one too :)
