@aviahz suggested these for a swap back in June 2015 and @betty194 hosted a public swap in 2014.

@TerryF created a tutorial showing us how to make a basic envelope booklet.

This is what I figured out when I made a prototype booklet.

  1. Select three envelopes that open the long way. San-x makes lots of letter sets like this. They can be matchy matchy from the same package of letter sets or all different. Sender's choice!
  2. Find your narrowest adhesive like a tape runner or glue dots.
  3. Trim the flaps of two of your three envelopes so they are slightly wider than your adhesive of choice.
  4. Apply adhesive to the two trimmed flaps and connect your three envelopes. Make sure your adhesive doesn’t go as far as the fold line.
  5. Decorate your booklet-to-be with washi tape and stickers, and perhaps a mini envelope. Tape goes on one side of the flap fold or the other so your booklet will fold neatly. This is a great opportunity to use lots of washi tape.
  6. Fill each envelope: put a letter to your swap partner in one and fill two with mailing supplies.

Actually, now that I think about it, we could use envelopes that open on the end (Japanese style) and connect them end to end.

What about if you have no spare Kawaii envelope, use a plane one and decorate it with memo sheets?

Some plain colored envelops (I got some from hobby lobby) and then decorate them with memo sheets. You gonna decorate it anyways with stickers and washi.

Mailing supplies like labels, stickers, washi samples, deco tape samples, swap cards, etc, right Meredith? And the booklet is sender's choice for the design, I assume? I would like to join, but I want to make the booklet this weekend since I am off and will be working on swaps.

Any and all mailing supplies, loosely defined: mini memos with lines the long way to use as mailing labels, stickers and sticker flakes, washi and deco tape samples, postage stamps, little envelopes, ...
