Personal Library Kit

I love reading and I have so many books. I always have friends coming around to borrow books from me and I’ve always wanted a personal library kit so I thought let’s make them ourself.

This is a pretty serious, timeconsuming quality swap, therefore to join you must have a 5 rating. You must also have at least 15 completed type 2/3 swaps.

This is what you’ll make for your partner and send:

1) 10 library cards where the owner can write: book title, author, “loaned to”, “date” and “phone number” – these cards can also be made as a book or in another nifty way which you think would be cool :)

2) 10 cards to be put in the books. The card must contain a place to write return dates, and can say something like “from the personal library of Your swappartners name

3) A pencil/pen

4) 10 bookmarks (store-bought or handmade)

i don't know if it would be ok or not, but i'd even like it if my partner wanted to make my cards that go with the book when it's loaned to actually be stickers like address labels. or any standard label size. i don't loan a lot of books except from my massage practice, but i'd love to have some pretty printed labels for the inside cover of my books to indicate that they are from my library, my phone number, or whatever info would be appropriate. just a thought for a variation to the above. but not necessary. i'm going to join anyway and enjoy!

@slewis234 : I'm not sure if I understood you correctly.... The number 2 item is actually for putting in YOUR books so that when you loan it out to someone they can see where they got them from :-)

Slewis234 means a bookplate for his/her books. I like that idea too. That way, it's just in the book permanently and the person borrowing knows who the book belongs to.
