I recently carved a couple of stamps to put in a couple of zines, and I thought it would be fun to create a zine comprised only of hand-carved stamps.

Not necessarily all newly carved for this zine (however, over-achievers, go for it!), but more like a portfolio of the work you've done and would like to share.

Many of you will have never carved a stamp before. That's OK! But you'll have to do it for this swap. Your stamps can be as simple or elaborate as you like. A simple stamp is not that hard to make and it's very rewarding. You just might surprise yourself!

The swap will NOT require a different image for every page. You might carve only one stamp and print it in different ways on each page. Or use two images to illustrate some text. Zines have always been a very loose, democratic, personal, form of self-expression, so the only hard and fast requirement is that any image(s) in the zine be hand-carved by YOU, you awesome creator, you.

Since they are easily reproducible and cheap to mail (and because I want to see lots of your work) you will have three partners for this swap. That is, you create your zine, make three copies, and send a copy to each of three partners. You may keep your original. Or send three originals. Again, it's up to you.

And because this might be brand new to some participants, I'll give plenty of time to complete the swap. Although, by its nature, you could begin it immediately.
