ILLUSTRATED CAT POSTCARDS SWAP #1

If you join this swap you will have one partner in the USA to whom you will send 3 different postcards in an envelope. Do not send duplicates of the same postcard!

This swap is for cat lovers or those who collect cat postcards.

There is one main rule which is the images on the face of the postcard must be an illustration, sketch, cartoon, drawing or painting of a cat. no real life cat photos, if they are photoshopped, the image must include an illustration.

In other words, a real cat wearing real clothes is not acceptable. However, a real cat with clothes added digitally is good. A cat posing in the window, no matter how cute, is not acceptable. However, a real cat which has been added to a window digitally is ok. If the cat is a real cat, and the photo is staged so it is basically a cat forced to do the scene, it is not acceptable.

It is probably best to stick to illustrated cats like Garfield, Felix, Puss in Boots, etc.

Here's the rest of the rules which are pretty easy to follow:

The postcards can be any age, antique, vintage, or modern, as long as they are in better condition.

They can be new, unused, postally used or written on the back side only as long as they are in excellent condition.

The cards must have no tears, no creases, no missing pieces, no writing on the face, no dog eared corners, no stains, no water marks or album glue, no excessive yellowing, or other condition problems that it would not be added to your collection.

General rule of thumb, if you would not like to receive a postcard like one you are sending, don't send it. Don't pass along junk

The postcards can be standard 3x5 or continental 4x6. No mini cards. No oversize.

Homemade cards must be quality, made from actual card stock paper and must have the artist name either on the front or back. Advertising is acceptable if it is on card stock and professionally printed. No flimsy, index cards, or the like.

This swap is open to anyone with a 4.25 or better rating. If you are a newbie and have no rating you may also join. If you have any completed swaps you must have a rating of 4.25 or better before joining.
