Hi, I'm Sigrid and live in northern Michigan in a small town of 700 people surrounded by farmland and woods. We have a post office, a gas station, 2 family-owned restaurants, an ice cream store, a small hardware store, 2 churches, and a Dollar General. It's a clean, friendly town where people wave at each other in passing. Neighbors alert each other to the occasional trespassing of bears, cougars, skunks, coyotes, and possums.
I'm a Christian who loves Jesus, and I pray that everyone would turn to him because he's true and faithful. I love learning about him and serving him, and am always amazed at how the invisible power of God changes me. One day, I will see him as he truly is and be like him in every way, without sin, weakness, or fault. I hope on that day!
In early summer, I enjoy walking around my property collecting wild flowers, and pretty leaves. I press them and insert them in my Bible, or add them to my craft projects, and have even made greeting cards of them.
I'm mostly a coffee drinker, but I also love a good Chai tea and green tea on occasion. I enjoy cooking, antique stores, sitting with a cup of coffee on my deck watching the birds, listening to old-school radio, watching my favorite YouTubers, Bible studies, making new friends, supporting my "little girl" that lives in Rwanda (she's not really mine, but she's mine), I love to pray for people, share the good new with others, take a friend to lunch, learn new things, and ice cream!
I volunteer at a Hospitality House connected with the hospital. I serve home-cooked meals to 20-25 people, and, Iove it. I also volunteer in my church's nursery.
My current favorite movie is "Shadrach", a true story that happened in the South in the early 1900's. I have seen it several times and don't get tired of it.
My favorite hobby is making paper crafts, snippet strips, papers stained with coffee or tea, junk journals in the French shabby chic style, anything that I can make using my hands. I also enjoy sewing from time to time.
Craft things I like include clear flower stickers, Victorian calling cards and the like, Vintage Hello Kitty (especially anything Marion Cream), vintage style gnomes, pretty pattern papers, embossed papers, stationery (which I never have enough of), miniature paper clips, silk flowers and ribbons.
Swapping with you is very important to me. I send within the timeframe allowed, sometimes much sooner. I normally rate your swap the day I receive it, or the day after. You deserve to know that the effort you put into your swap was received.
If either of us are not able to complete a swap, or will be late with one, let's reach out and let each other know what to expect. I'm easy going and understand that sometimes life happens -- I hope you do too.
Please do not waste your hard-earned swap items on me that pertain to Halloween-related, astrology-related, occult-related, or anything of this nature.
